Elevated to imperial provostship of the Hungarian March in 1051, it was given as a gift to the Empress Dowager Agnes in 1058.
In 1213 Alban and Johann Dörr rebuilt and expanded the church. From the outside, the building is one of the most beautiful choir facilities in Austria.

I already rode this route in about 2020, but the cycle path on the Danube dam between Orth an der Donau and Stopfenreuth was closed at the time, you had to ride on state roads at the time, so I wanted to ride this route again today 😎
