Höllbach Waterfall

Highlight • Waterfall

Of course that's a highlight. Who has not seen that is your own fault. Come on, whether hiking or MTB, here you have to have been once.

Wildly foaming and several meters wide, the Höllbach flows into the Alb, which here flows calmly, after almost 9 km from its source near Engelschwand. A wonderful spot with a bench and bridge to enjoy this natural spectacle.

Bridge over the Alb River

Highlight • Bridge

In the deeply cut and unspoilt Albbachtal leads here a narrow wooden bridge over the stream. When you stand on the bridge, you should stop once, listen to the murmur of the water and absorb the unique atmosphere in you.

Dear hikers,
Personally, I cannot recommend this hike, which is designed as a round trip.
Apart from overgrown paths, the entire eastern part along the alp is unattractive, both visually and to walk on.
The western hiking trail, the Alpsteig, is recommended with a few highlights.
This tour is one of the few that disappointed me in real 50 years …

We set off from the parking lot by the church – a beautiful hike! Unfortunately, we underestimated the weather a bit and didn't bring enough water.

The Alb was a welcome refreshment for the dogs, and we found fresh springs with clear, clean water along the way – hurray! That made the walk much easier.

On the road in the Black Forest today 🤗 🥰

Mostly on forest paths it goes in the direction of Höllbach.

This and the Höllbach waterfall are definitely worth a trip 😍 the way back was beautiful up to about km 9...
the path was returned to nature by fallen trees, stones and later by branches 🤗 if I had …

So. It was hot. Too hot for our taste, but what else could you expect from Hölltal? 😅🤪 But the poor valley can't do anything about it. Despite it. Not necessarily one of our most beautiful rounds, we wouldn't go again, even if it certainly had its corners and charms. In retrospect, we would have arrived less bruised if we …

Weather forecast for today 38° 😯 only one thing helps, off to the Black Forest and along the stream to cool off 😍

The butcher's shop in Todtmoos is highly recommended, if you're hungry, just brake here🙂

I spent the day off from school with my son in the Black Forest. From the legendary Teufelskueche we hike to the spectacular Höllbach waterfall. The Albstrudel Teufelskueche is a legendary, about 100 m long bottleneck in the river bed of the Alb. The many washed-out whirlpool holes are striking.
Then we visited the pumped storage power plant in Haeuser …

Start in the Alptal valley to the Teufelsküche (Devil's Kitchen) and continue to the Höllbach waterfall. The path along the Höllbach stream to the waterfall, graded 1+ with 🌟, is fantastic...😊👍,
A varied tour, with everything included...you should be sure-footed...
