Ørnfjord Tunnel

Highlight • Structure

If you don't know, the tunnels on the route are very cold and there is often a cold wind blowing through, so put on something warm beforehand and also a reflective vest or something similar.

In my opinion, you can't climb the mountain at the end of May. There is still too much snow on the approach.

Popular hiking spot with nice views. Not exactly an easy climb, but for me this was a piece of cake after the very demanding hike to nearby peaks of Grytetippen and Keipen!

Well-marked hike with two small lakes along the way - I drank water from them and tolerated it well.
The first climb was a bit muddy and therefore slippery, but still doable.
Strenuous but very rewarding hike up to the Barden - highly recommended for the midnight sun!

Unfortunately the GPS didn't work properly. It certainly took us 4-5 hours for the ascent and descent. And you should really have a head for heights and be sure-footed.
