The last couple of kilometres of ascent up to this col is tough hike-a-bike along the GR5 hiking trail, but the spectacular views back over Lac Leman more than makeup for it. There is also a large herd of Bouquetin in this area, so keep your eyes peeled for them.

The Col de Bise, located on the GR 5, is the passage to switch from the Novel valley to that of Bise to the south. Perched at an altitude of 1,915 meters, it constitutes an unrivaled observation post for admiring Lake Geneva and the balconies of the Jura.
