In 1895 the inn was owned by the brothers Eduard Horlebeck (1829 - 1912) and Julius Horlebeck (1835 - 1910).
What was curious was that they had separate inns with two entrances under one roof.
In 1906 a fire broke out in the neighboring building, the “Zum Goldenen Anker” hotel, and the Horlebeck restaurant was destroyed. The new building was reopened on May 18, 1907.
The new owner was Hermann Horlebeck (1870 - 1957), the son of Julius Horlebeck. He now called the location “Zum Stadthöhler”.
From 1936 there were other tenants of the inn.
