A well placed ice cream and coffee shop near the end of this walk to grab yourself a well earned treat to round the day off.

You can travel to this walk from anywhere on the the Merseyrail network. And from further afield as Merseyrail connects to mainline services at several places. I can also vouch for 'Toast', the cafe at this station. I had a very nice cheese and bacon toastie and a lovely cappucino as my reward for completing the walk 😁

Hannah's Café, West Kirby

Highlight • Cafe

Finished my walk with a coffee and a lovely slice of cake in Hannah's opposite the train station. Great atmosphere, engaging and polite staff and a huge variety of cakes. Wide range of seating too. Armchairs, sofa's, 'school' chairs and outside tables and chairs too.

St Bridget's Church, West Kirby

Highlight • Religious Site

"It is likely that there was a church on the site before the Norman Conquest. The first stone church was built around 1150–60. In the 13th century there were alterations or a rebuilding. Around 1320 the present chancel was built, followed by the north chapel and vestry. In 1493 the tower was erected and the north aisle was widened. By 1788 the church was "in a dilapidated state" and repairs were carried out. A major restoration took place in 1869–70 by Kelly and Edwards which amounted almost to a rebuilding. A north porch was added in 1876."
