At the northern end of Lindfield High Street you are treated to a collection of timber framed houses. In fact, the whole village is worth hiking through to appreciate the 41 such buildings, some of which are medieval (pre 1550). In this area you can see a 1390 thatched cottage and the Old Place Estate dating from 1584.

All Saints Church, Lindfield

Highlight • Historical Site

A stunning, early 14th-century church, All Saints occupies a peaceful spot in the Low Weald. Grade II-listed and made from sandstone, it's well worth seeing the interior as well as it's particularly lovely. After nearly falling into dereliction, it was entirely restored in the 19th century and has undergone even more recent renovations too, including installing underfloor heating.

Great pub with good food, good beer and a large garden at the rear, with plenty of space for bikes to wait while you enjoy a drink!

Lindfield Coffee Works

Highlight • Cafe

A superb café with its own roastery, which supplies sustainably sourced coffee to many other cafes and cycling cafes in the area. The café also sponsors its own cycling team.

Lindfield High Street

Highlight • Pub

Lovely old Sussex village with an avenue of Lime trees, which give the village its name (another name for Lime trees is Linden), several good pubs, a large duck-pond and village common. The town lies roughly at the halfway point on the annual London to Brighton cycle ride and photos of the village, and its pond, feature on many of the publicity photos for the ride.
