a nice little hike around the Foia, of course you can just drive up and look. the tour (partly on the Via Algarviana) is a nice change from the fishing trails

The first downhill section (after the cows) is quite overgrown. The last section of the marked trail where you should cut past a small lake and some goats is inaccessible (the swing gates are locked) and you have to continue on the road, as per the tour here.

Very easy and pleasant hike mostly shaded. In full narure between chestnut trees, pines and eucalyptus. We cross pastures and meet horses, sheep, cows and goats.
