Stone inscription: FLORA Created around 1800 based on an ancient model, commissioned by Duke Peter Friedrich Ludwig of Oldenburg for the Eutin Garden. Flora was worshipped in ancient times as the goddess of flowers, blossoms, and youth. The creation of this copy and the restoration of the original in the Eutin Castle Museum were made possible by a donation from master builder Karl-Leinz Stamer Lensahn Eutin. Mar 1997.

Eutin Castle in Eutin, East Holstein, is the cultural center and nucleus of the town. Along with Gottorf Castle and Glücksburg Castle, it is one of the most important secular court buildings in Schleswig-Holstein. The four-winged complex originated from a medieval castle and was expanded into a royal residence over several centuries.
