Town Church. "To the Holy Name of God" in Radeberg. Information: The foundation stone for a stone church was laid in 1486, and it was completed in 1498. The tall spire was demolished in 1611 due to structural instability and replaced with a new, flat, truncated cupola covered in slate. During the town fire of July 13, 1714, the church interior was destroyed, and reconstruction was slow and hesitant.

1486 is considered the year in which the foundation stone of the current town church was laid. "To the Holy Name of God" in Radeberg. The year 1498, which can be read above the old portal in the current band room - the old sacristy - is probably the year in which the building, which began in 1486, was completed. Burned down in 1714, new building and consecration in 1730. The renewed and expanded Herbrig organ was consecrated in 1975. The post distance column from 1729 in front of the town hall is a replica made in 2012. The original was erected on the market as part of the Second Electorate of Saxony's land survey on October 28, 1729. In July 1791, it was moved to the middle of the market due to the expansion of the garrison guard house and remained there until 1852.

Unfortunately we found it locked, but it was impressive from the outside and there were definitely a few photos inside.
