As early as 1426 there was a small church in Ralbitz, which was destroyed by the Hussites during their march through Lusatia. As a result, the residents of the surrounding villages built a new church together, which was consecrated in 1515. Because 15 surrounding parishes were incorporated into the parish of Ralbitz in the 18th century, work began on the construction of a larger church in 1752, which was later to become one of the most impressive buildings in the region. When the church cemetery became too small for the growing community in the middle of the 19th century, it was greatly expanded in 1852. During the Second World War, the parish church burned down as a result of the armed conflicts, and it was not until 1948 that the church was rebuilt and consecrated to Saint Catherine. The cemetery has been preserved in this form from 1948 to this day.

Cemetery of the White Crosses The Sorbian-Catholic cemetery is particularly striking because of the uniformly used white grave crosses. The crosses lined up next to each other are decorated with Sorbian and Christian symbols and contain writings with information about the deceased and blessings. For more than 150 years, the same grave cross design was always used, so that today a sea of white grave crosses adorns the cemetery and offers an impressive sight. The church, rebuilt in 1948 and designed in white, with an onion-shaped church tower, completes this picture. Because of its importance, the cemetery and church were declared a monument in 1981, also because this tradition is a sign of an intact, intercultural and inter-religious village community.

In the town center is the St. Catherine's Church, built in 1752 and restored after the Second World War, and the listed cemetery with its more than 300 uniform white wooden crosses, which is a nationally known feature. The Trinity Column from the 18th century is located in the village square. Every year on Easter Sunday, Ralbitz receives an Easter rider procession from Wittichenau. On its way from the place of pilgrimage Rosenthal to Eutrich, where according to legend the good Sorbian magician Krabat was born, the Krabat cycle path also crosses Ralbitz.
