if you want to enjoy the view for longer, I’d recommend getting down to the river via the parking lot just south of the bridge, never seen any birds here

quite old and showing its age, generally okay but a bit boring, design eccentricities include a ~500 m section where it runs right next to the road without grade separation plus a section where the path moves further away from the road to a residential lane (no destination signage of course)

southern half fairly new (from ~5 years ago) so all good*, northern half much older with all the usual cracks in the asphalt * except for one strange intersection where traffic crossing/turning across the bike path has the right of way for some reason

River rapids just off the paved road, easily reachable by a short smooth gravel segment. Depending on the time of the year you might either see a small stream or a raging, 3m high waterfall.
