The Hirvijärvi circular trail leads along the eastern shore of this picturesque lake. At the southern end you will find a lean-on and at the northern end a beautiful little bridge.

The red-painted wooden observation tower of the Vehoniemenharju nature reserve was built in 1927. It stands on a wooded ridge that rises up to 60 meters above the water level. Next to it is the interesting Vehoniemi Automobile Museum.

Ruins of a church probably built around 1500. During the Reformation the interior of the church was renovated. Since the church was built on sandy soil, the foundations began to crumble in the mid-18th century and cracks began to appear more frequently. The church was abandoned after the new church in Pälkäne was built in 1839. In 1873 the skulls of 55 people buried there were taken to Stockholm for research purposes. During the current excavations on the church grounds, further skeletons were discovered.

Quiet road between Kangasala and Valkeakoski. This half is a bit older, but the pavement still rides relatively well.

Not only can you visit the old ruins and read about them, but you can take a good walk in these surroundings.

These ruins are located near Nuijanmäki next to Route 12. It is worth visiting if you are interested in old churches.

Gravel road through a beautiful field landscape. The condition of the gravel road varies, often with a laundry board somewhat and in places loose so that riding a road bike would be challenging.
