Reppuniemi Open-Air Museum in Pöytyä presents a collection of 13 historic buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries, including a smoke sauna, windmill, blacksmith’s workshop, and soldier’s croft. The buildings were relocated here starting in the 1960s, creating an authentic rural environment that’s open to visitors free of charge. In summer, the site also hosts performances by the local amateur theatre group, during which access to the area may be limited. The location is easily reached by trekking or cross bike via Turuntie, and the natural surroundings make for a pleasant cycling stop.

Kotiseutumuseo Kivimakasiini in Oripää is a small local museum showcasing 19th-century rural life through everyday tools, household items, and festive artefacts like church silks. Visitors can also explore the unique Äären Kauppamuseo, a recreation of a general store that served the community for five decades, and see a small exhibition of historical banking items. Entry is free during normal opening hours (Sundays from June to August, 12:00–14:00), and guided tours are available for groups. The museum is located near the village centre and easily accessible by bike; a trekking or cross bike is ideal for the local roads. Remember that the nearby library, which provides information, is closed in July.

not much traffic, twisty but almost flat, asphalt somewhat damaged in many places but still rides pretty well, part of the original road from Turku to Pori/Tampere/Ostrobothnia (continues as gravel north of here) and the River Aura scenic route

https://oripaa.fi/matkailijalle/historia/kotiseutumuseo-kivimakasiini/ Oripää's stone granaries once served as the watchman's granary, whose purpose was to collect seeds and edible grain during fallow years. The year 1912 on the storehouse door indicates the planned construction year, but in reality, the storehouse wasn't completed until 1915. Granaries were established in the municipality starting in the 18th century, and Oripää's first storehouse was completed on Grönkulla Hill in 1819. The museum's exhibits tell of peasant life in the 19th century. On display are everyday objects, from tillage tools to household items, as well as festive items, such as church silk. A beautiful detail of the museum's exhibits are the early 19th-century gutters, decorated with golden lion heads, for example. In the mid-19th century, approximately 710 people lived in Oripää.
