leaving Venlo; First we pass the attractive Promenade Tegelen, also known as Jammerdal, on its western edge via the Onderste Molenweg. A short detour eastwards to an early break bench lets us sniff the wonderful atmosphere of the Jammerdals at the Wittebeck pond for a while, including a beautiful and stimulating swan attack.

A great landscape with many smaller and larger lakes that are very overgrown. Many waterfowl live here and feel very comfortable.

It's not quite as nice in the fog as it is in the sunshine, but Ravenvennen is always worth a visit. The paths are narrow and natural and the landscape is very varied.
