A relatively large number of parishes or churches have adopted the patronage of Saint John—not a rare name in the almost two-thousand-year history of Christianity. They are sometimes dedicated to Jesus' favorite disciple, the Evangelist John, but mostly to John the Baptist (also: John the Baptist). He is six months older than Jesus, which is why his feast day is celebrated exactly six months before Christmas and is considered a forerunner of the promised Messiah. As the New Testament recounts, John the Baptist was martyred because Salome demanded his head from King Herod as a reward for a dance. This church has placed itself under the patronage of the beheading of Saint John the Baptist and celebrates this on August 29th. Of course, this motif has often been used in the representational arts, for example by the famous Italian painter Caravaggio (1571 to 1610). You would hardly notice it, staring at the beautiful surroundings, but here in the tree hangs a statue of Mary, with a poem. Take the time to view and read it, and don't forget to put your 4th stamp here when you walk the Camino Brabant.

The first mention of the parish dates from 1377, but the church probably existed longer and the first polder church was built here at the end of the 13th century. The church in its current form dates from 1951. As the name suggests, the church is dedicated to the beheading of John the Baptist, a prophet.

The Hooge Heide is the name of a collection of estates, forests and nature reserves and sand drifts between Nuland, Rosmalen and Sint-Michielsgestel in the Dutch province of North Brabant. The areas are mainly located on a cover sand ridge that forms the northern boundary of the Pleistocene area in North Brabant, near the Seam of Brabant. The river clay area of Maasland extends north of it.

Mill "De Vlijt" in Geffen. The original year of construction is 1685, when the mill was placed in Boxtel. The mill was moved to Geffen around 1875. In 1976 he got his current place at Groenstraat within Geffen and was then restored. De Vlijt is a closed post mill with a flight of 25.20 meters. The 5.45 m long, cast iron top shaft was cast in 1861 by the H. Hartogh Heysj company in Delft and placed in the mill in 1902. The case is painted light yellow with a green front and the hood is covered with roofing felt. The mill was formerly used for grinding grain. In 2005 the mill is no longer in operation, but grindable. The mill has a great landscape value, because it is free in the field and is therefore clearly visible from afar, and therefore has a good windage. At the same time, the mill is iconic.
