Bergen aan Zee was founded in 1906 with the aim of creating a beach spot for the municipality of Bergen. Nowadays you will find five hotels and many guesthouses and private rentals near the beach. There are also residential areas for local residents and some beautiful villas in a prime location. Unlike many other beach destinations, there are no large holiday parks or campsites.
