The 'Lacaster monument' in Papendrecht is a memorial stone made of reinforced concrete with a bricked-in plaque. A block of black granite has been placed in front of the memorial stone, on which a propeller has been mounted. On the left are three flagpoles. The plaque bears the names of seven killed airmen.

The Wingerdse Molen in the Dutch town of Bleskensgraaf is a seesaw mill of which the year of construction is unknown. This polder mill was probably built in 1513. The tube is from 1624. In 1872 the mill was raised by bricking up the field walls, so that a greater flight could be obtained. At 28.20 m, the Wingerdse Molen has the largest flight of all Dutch seesaw mills. The original paddle wheel was replaced in 1955 by an auger. In 1996, among other things, the shelling of the roof and the rafters were renewed. In 2006, two reed beds on the lower tower were renewed. Mill is inhabited.

The diesel pumping station of the Sliedrecht polder was in service from 1923 to 1978. From 1978 an electric pumping station located right next to the diesel pumping station keeps the water of the Sliedrecht polder at the right level. In the immediate vicinity is still the hull of one of the round polder mills that served in earlier years. The old steam pumping station that provided the drainage as the predecessor of the diesel pumping station has unfortunately disappeared.

Restaurant also has an outdoor terrace. Located on the water. Closed on Tuesdays. Ideal place for a break during a cycling or walking tour.

The Alblasserbos was created in the early 1980s and is part of the green heart. It is popular with hikers in the Oud-Alblas and Alblasserdam region.

The windmill "De Hoop" has been in Oud-Alblas since 1844. In contrast to many other mills in the Netherlands, this is not a wind pump, but a flour mill. The mill has been owned by the De Groot family for five generations and is in regular use. Every week, around 500 kilograms of wheat are ground into flour, which you can then buy at the store at the bottom of the mill. In addition, you can also visit the well-preserved structure. The mill is open on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
