the Merwelanden are a well-known recreation area for me as an ex-Dordtenaar where I have often been in the summer, and now and then in the winter it is now nice and quiet, the hiking trails indicated by komoot are now soggy grass paths you can choose for the same money for the asphalted walkway 10 meters

a nice park for walking all paths are paved and only accessible for pedestrians even though the park is right next to the A15, I still think it's worth it and I will definitely come back, probably when the weather is a bit better : )

I have adjusted the walk slightly and started at my parental home, it is a beautiful and quiet area, for the most part you walk on a plain without many trees, so it is best to go for a walk here on a windless day, the entire route was paved and that works so well

Yes, this is a bit of a strange walk, a large part of the route you walk through a residential area, the walk along the water is not special, but fortunately the last 500 meters you still walk a bit through a park.

I easily got rid of it today, a tour of the island of Brienenoord of only 3.2 km, but I was still curious about this place. I have been there with the Scouting about 45 years ago, then it was all still untouched nature and forest, now all paths are paved a nice round I encountered 2 more Scottish highlanders :)
