The Maredijkmolen is a hollow post mill, the oldest mill in Leiden. The mill was built in 1735 to drain the Maredijkpolder. The mill is still working and can sometimes be visited when it is turning.

The aim of the historic shipyard in Warmond on the Haarlemmertrekvaart in the Klaas Hennepoelpolder is to preserve the local old vessels, materials and shipbuilding techniques. Interested parties are welcome to take a look at the site while work is in progress.

This mill was built in 1787 for one of the deepest polders in the Rhineland (polder, so not a reclaimed land). This mill was in operation until 1924, in that year the drainage was taken over by a motor pumping station.
