Very nice pavilion and great hiking area.

The (replica) dome stands in the middle of the bend in the old tram track of the Rotterdam Tramway Company (RTM). From 1906 to 1965, RTM steam and diesel trams ran here to transport passengers to the beach. It is now a walking path.

A short section along the lake was impassable because the path was completely overgrown. Fifty meters higher, a paved path leads back to the trail.

Rockanje, South Holland - The Tenellaplas Visitor Center is a perfect starting point for a walk through the Voorne dune area. Keep an eye out for special bird species.

The surrounding area is particularly rich in species: two-thirds of the Dutch breeding bird species and more than half of all wild plant species in our country can be found here. There's something to do in every season. In spring, there are orchid trails and excursions; in summer, children can catch aquatic animals; and in autumn, there's an autumn expedition for the whole family.

The Tenellaplas Visitor Center in Rockanje is the gateway to the Voorne Dunes, managed by the Zuid-Hollands Landscape Agency. Here you'll find information about hiking and cycling trails and which animals, birds, and plants you might encounter during the season.

From an elongated floor plan consisting of three rectangles, a country house was built under glazed, improved Dutch tile gabled roofs with projecting eaves resting on carved studs. The facades, constructed in large-format yellow bricks, predominantly feature straight-closed facade openings with wider lintels. A crawl space is located beneath the entire building.
