The medieval castle, built and expanded in four construction periods between 1015 and 1650, with its different architectural styles: Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance, is 350 years old and has four wings in French Renaissance style.

In my opinion, it's a very long weir for such a small river, but it certainly has its uses. In any case, it's definitely worth seeing.

From up here, you have a beautiful view down to Beaufort Castle. Beaufort Castle, a former moated castle, was built in three different periods and features everything a castle should have: a rampart, a water tower, a dungeon, a pitched nose above the entrance gate, a fountain, a knights' hall, a chapel, and a torture chamber.

Very nice wooden bridge over the Sauer, but the cycle path is also very easy to ride in this section.

Completed in 1952, this arched bridge connects Luxembourg with Germany across the Sûre River. It replaced an older ford and symbolizes the functional connection between the two countries.

The Schwaarz Lërrnz is a small, picturesque river in eastern Luxembourg. It rises near Christnach, flows through the rocky valley of the Mullerthal—also known as 'Luxembourg's Little Switzerland'—and finally empties into the Sûre near Grundhof. Its clear, cool current winds through forests, gorges, and rocks, a typical feature of the region.

A border crossing that is no longer recognizable as such.

Nice to look at. The bike path runs right past it.
