The castle now serves as the king's residence, a place of state representation, the administration of the monarchy and also the most elegant guest house in the country. The castle appears huge with its three wings; the front is 100.80 meters long and 24.10 meters wide. The two side wings are 40.70 meters long, 14.30 meters wide, and the three wings together accommodate 173 rooms. It's probably not as big as it seems, because the castle is one of the smaller residences in Europe.
