Impressive building in the center of Oslo

Inner city pedestrian zones are perhaps the cultural heart of the modern European city. Here modern brutalist architecture meets what remains of antiquiteck architecture supposedly erected by a few people practically overnight with horse drawn carriages in the latter 1800s. So far the absurdity has escaped many of us, but once we see it, our place becomes more obvious. Here we meet, shop, view artworks, or watch others. If we watch them closely, we might see how they too carry their laborsome bodies through a world increasingly unyoked from time, place, and genuine solace in the fellowship of a compassionate humanity that had once known its true mooring in love and truth.
