Beautiful volcanic lake with a very simple and comfortable circular tour, during which it is possible to admire local fauna and flora. I recommend it together with the circular tour of Monte Nuovo to have a view of the volcanic panorama of the Campi Flegrei area.

Characteristic, suggestive and romantic, Marina Corricella is the oldest seaside village in Procida. Arranged like an amphitheatre on the sea and surrounded by nets laid out on the dock, this small fishing village is a quiet and seductive refuge for those who prefer relaxing holidays. The smell of the sea, the characteristic streets, the unique architecture and the total absence of cars make Corricella a world apart.

A very well-preserved seventeenth-century complex with two entrances - one on Via Principe Margherita and the other on Via Salita Castello - a feature from which its original name "vascello sfondato" presumably derives. Another hypothesis on the origin of the toponym is that it comes from the dialect expression "vescieddo" or "re vescio" which means "down", precisely to indicate residential decentralization towards the bottom. The complex develops around a large central courtyard, often used in the summer as a small theater for cultural events, which overlooks numerous homes and towards which a system of narrow alleys converges. Casale Vascello today retains all the charm of the era for the architecture of its colorful houses, leaning against each other, precisely to prevent the passage of enemies and characterized by the presence of the vefio, a small balcony covered by an arched vault that recalls the Arab world, typical of Procida.

Lago d'Averno is an easy biking destination on usually quiet rural roads. The volcanic lake in the Avernus crater is around 4 kilometres west of Pozzuoli. Along the way you can pass the volcanic field known as the Phlegraean Fields (Campi Flegrei) and see part of the wider Campanian volcanic arc. The road around the lake is roughly circular: the lake measures two kilometres in circumference and is up to 60 metres deep.
