"Erratic" boulders from the bombing of Naples 43/44

This little church is nothing special as such, but it's in a beautiful setting for a walk. The striking feature of this whole Capo Di Monte " area is that everything is green (at least in January), clean and in a good shape - so unlike the city centre.

Nothing special here - just a place where all of the wood paths meet. Couple of headless statues on the North, and a path towards the museum to the south. Reasonably clean toilets.

To be very frank, this park is one of the few areas in Naples that are clean, green and refreshing. No garbage, no buildings falling apart - one could almost believe to be in Austria. 😂

Greenish paths look so surreal. I've been looking left and right to see if there are any elfs or hobbits around. 😂

Currently, the garden houses about 25,000 plant specimens representing about 10,000 plant species. Although the garden is open to the public, it is not necessarily a public park. It is an autonomous educational center for the university and local high schools of the Department of Agriculture of the University of Naples.

Closed to worship since 1969, it was reopened to visitors on Tuesday 6 July 2021 with a new decoration by architect Santiago Calatrava, protagonist of the exhibition "Santiago Calatrava. In the light of Naples ".
