Rotbach Alm is located at 1423 m above sea level, on the SW side of the homonymous Rio Rosso valley (Rotbachtal). It is a typical farmhouse, the oldest in the Aurina Valley, with rustic traditional wooden rooms and a beautiful panoramic terrace. Its origin, in this position, dates back to 1884, as evidenced by an engraving in the old stone fountain. In January 1951, an avalanche severely damaged the building, as demonstrated by the still sloping wooden walls. Abandoned in favor of a permanent settlement in the valley, and used only in the summer period for working the meadows and pastures, it was inhabited again in 1997. www.rotbachalm.com

The Berggasthof Stallila, with its adjacent parking lot reachable from San Giovanni Valle Aurina, is the starting point for pleasant walks and alpine destinations. Here, trails 19B, 21 and 23A meet. The restaurant offers traditional cuisine and a sunny terrace with a playground.

The Valle Aurina cycle path is a panoramic route that winds along the valley of the same name. In about 30 kilometers, the itinerary connects the village of Casere to San Giovanni, passing through mountain landscapes, dense forests and small characteristic villages. During the route, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the peaks of the Aurine Alps and the Aurino river that flows alongside the route.
