The route to reach the Fane mountain hut is a fascinating excursion that immerses you completely in nature. You cross lush woods, quiet paths and follow a stream that accompanies the path. Along the way, the view of the mountains is spectacular, with panoramas that become more and more beautiful as you climb. The waterfall that you encounter along the way is the final touch of this walk that, although not too difficult, offers unique emotions. Once you arrive, the mountain hut welcomes you with its typical atmosphere and a dream panorama.

From this little road you can enjoy a postcard view of the village of Valles (Vals), immersed in the green meadows of the valley.

The Rienz rises at the foot of the Three Peaks at an altitude of around 2200 m and flows into the Eisack near Brixen at an altitude of 565 m after around 80 kilometers of river. With a catchment area of over 2143 km², it drains the Pustertal and is thus the most important tributary of the Eisack. The highest elevation in its catchment area is at 3498 m (Dreiherrenspitz). The largest tributaries of the Rienz are the Pragser Bach, Gsieser Bach, Antholzer Bach, Ahr, Gader, Pfunderer Bach and Lüsner Bach.
