Possible stop for water and coffee

A 2019 art installation by Giuseppe "Giupi" Boles: a large "window" framing sunsets over the Po. It is located in the Lido Po Park, in the floodplain area facing the city: a perfect resting point for those cycling along the riverbank, with an open view of the river, floodplains, and riparian forests. In summer, the "La Baia" bar is open just a few dozen meters away; there is parking and access to the trails of the Golena del Po Intermunicipal Park.

Small charming town where the Gonzaga family spent some time. There is a castle and a square surrounded by arcades. The interior of the church was also designed by the Gonzagas.

The ring of surrounding embankments preserves native vegetation and fauna typical of valley areas.

Pedaling through the streets of Sabbioneta is like pedaling in a Renaissance painting. It is no coincidence that this small and perfect Lombard city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008. A jewel of Italian architectural history that is worth visiting.

This stretch of cycle path runs along the Oglio River. It is part of the long route called "Via delle risaie" that crosses the south of Lombardy.

Gazzuolo is an interesting town in the Mantua area. The architecture is typical of Gonzaga towns, with beautiful porticos that shelter from the sun and rain. It is known for the theater founded by the Ligurian playwright Giacometti, who moved here in the 19th century.
