The "Soldiers' Loggia" (Italian: Loggia dei Militi) is located next to the Palazzo Comunale in Cremona. The loggia served as the meeting place for the local "Società dei Militi" (Soldiers' Society). It consists of two rectangular rooms. Beneath the portico is the coat of arms of Cremona, which was moved here from the Margherita Gate when the latter was demolished in 1910.

The Strone river originates from the small lake of Scarpizzolo, a hamlet located within the territory of San Paolo, located in the Fenile delle Passere area and into which the Strone Basso, or Stronello, and the Fosso Strone flow. At the Cascina Vincellate, the watercourse is diverted with the municipal Seriola of Pontevico, aimed at irrigating the cultivated fields and then penetrating into the town of the same name and flowing into the Oglio. Like the river that diverted from it, the Strone also flows into the Oglio in Pontevico.
