The Castle is located in the center of Roncade, a city just a few minutes from the province of Venice. It is a majestic Renaissance complex, as well as the only pre-Palladian Venetian villa surrounded by walls in which the Venetian agricultural tradition is still present – specifically, the production of wines.

Built between the 16th and 17th centuries, Villa Giustinian-Ciani Bassetti is also known as "the castle of Roncade" because of its moat and walls. It is currently inhabited by the Ciani Bassetti family and is located a few hundred meters from the center of Roncade. Inside there is also an oratory dedicated to Sant'Anna.

Monument dedicated to the Battle of the Solstice (or Second Battle of the Piave) fought in June 1918 between the Imperial and Royal Austro-Hungarian Army and the Royal Italian Army and engaged the Austro-Hungarians in their last major offensive of the First World War. The name "battle of the solstice" was coined by the poet Gabriele d'Annunzio.

The “Castello di Roncade” is the only existing Venetian villa surrounded by medieval walls and this is undoubtedly one of the main reasons why it deserves to be preserved, enhanced and made known in the most appropriate way possible. It is certainly a fundamental component of the city of Roncade and the surrounding area from a historical-artistic point of view but also from a wine-growing point of view, in fact the castle is also the home of an important winery, whose origins date back to around the years 1930s.

The Roncadese territory is crossed in a north-south direction by the Musestre river which originates from the nearby municipality of Breda di Piave and flows into the Sile river in the Musestre area. Other rivers are the Vallio and the Meolo and they also flow into the Sile river which borders the southern border of the municipality for a long stretch.
