We were able to satisfy our hunger for medieval architecture in the Castello Pretorio. It is a hidden gem in the idyllic town. Free access gives you the opportunity to delve into the long, special history of the fort. It is an early medieval fortress that has had different residents and interpretations over the centuries. Take the time to hit the pause button and enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the Belevedere della Specola. XVI (expansion of the entire property) The church was expanded in the 1500s under the direction of the Lombard architect Francesco Grazioli. It will be raised and the facade will be changed. In addition, the second register of frescoes is being prepared. 1573 (installation of the interior furnishings) In 1573 the church was completed both in terms of furnishings and wall paintings with the installation of three altars. 1767 - 1781 (restoration of the entire property) A restoration of the wall frescoes is being carried out by the Brotherhood of Oratorians of San Filippo Neri; The altar with the twisted columns and its altarpiece are in place.
