Pure nature, only 10 minutes by car from the state capital Schwerin. Good, waterproof shoes are recommended in spring and after long periods of rain.

Beautiful brick church

A real gem what it is located south-west of Schwerin. The landscape protection area Siebendörfer Moor is a fen that has its origins in the Ice Age. It was created from the silting up of a ground moraine lake and can now be safely accessed on foot or by bike on asphalted and paved paths.

The Siebendörfer Moor is wonderful to explore on your own bike. Most of the paths are paved and also quite wide. You can also go on a bike tour through the moor as a group. In spring, with a bit of luck, you can hear the bittern's courtship call (Botaurus stellaris). The dull courtship call sounds a bit like a cow, which is why this inconspicuous bird is also known as the “bog ox” or “moss cow”.
