The gateway to our wonderful village.

Spello's historic center is an elegant and well-preserved medieval village. It's definitely worth a visit.

I climbed to the pass via Assisi. After a couple of kilometers of descent leaving Assisi, the climb is very steady (around 5%), until a stretch about 2 km from the summit where it flattens out. The asphalt is mostly good, except for a couple of spots. I always descended on the same side; the descent is very fast; be careful only on the two slightly bumpy sections.

I always return to the plain quickly

Absolutely worth a visit, also to fill your water bottle at the fountain before starting the climb to Mount Subasio

You can pedal peacefully on this road immersed in nature and enjoy the fun caressing the slopes of the gentle hills. You must always pay attention to the vehicular traffic which however remains not very intense.

Sulla bellissima strada di fondovalle che si snoda come un serpente ci si diverte davvero percorrendola, né troppo lento né troppo veloce; così facendo sì assapora davvero con piacere lo spostamento spazio/tempo.

The Chapel houses a 14th century shrine dedicated to St. Anna; the small sacred building was built around 1640 as a thank you for the numerous graces that the Belfioresi had received by invoking that sacred image. It was frescoed in the 15th century by one of the major representatives of the Foligno school of painting, Pierantonio Mesastris. The church in front of the religious shrine was built to protect it. It is square in shape and on the façade it has two large windows next to the portal built to allow wayfarers and pilgrims to see the sacred image contained within. Above the architrave of the door a terracotta image represents St. Anna with the Madonna as a child next to her.
