Collepino is a small village located within the territory of the Monte Subasio Regional Park. Born as a colony for shepherds and woodcutters of the nearby abbey of San Silvestro, it was later fortified to defend the Foligno valley from incursions from the north. To this day, the medieval walls surrounding the town are still clearly visible.
