The mountain group of the Sassolungo between the Val Gardena and the Alpe di Siusi area is arranged in a mountain range that opens up in a northwesterly direction and has a kind of "courtyard". It is recommended to cross from the Sellajochhaus. Then it goes over the Langkofelscharte, Langkofelhütte, Murmeltier Hütte and the Jendertal to St. Christina in Val Gardena. Despite the small difference in altitude, this hike is challenging but worth it!
