The large hut is located at the upper end of the Villnößtal valley and is an ideal starting point for climbing the Peitlerkofel. A total of 90 mountain hikers can stay in the hut in double and multi-bed rooms as well as in the mattress dormitory. Here the Messner-Steig also passes, or you can get in here.

Nice refreshment stop located directly on the Kreuzkofeljoch. We had a long lunch break in fantastic weather and enjoyed the delicious fried potatoes with fried eggs and crispy bacon. The hosts and the service staff are very nice and attentive.

Great view, good food, overnight stays also possible in double rooms, the landlords are on the ball, everything is well organized and very friendly. At the beginning of September, the hut was still well attended during the week. When fully occupied, the sanitary capacities are not sufficient. Hikers queue at the only shower on each floor.
