Villacidro 입구에 위치한 그림 같은 폭포인 Sa Spendula는 약 60미터 높이의 높은 화강암 벽 사이로 세 개의 폭포를 이루는 Coxinas 강의 마지막 구간입니다. 마을에서 쉽게 접근할 수 있으며, 특히 물의 양이 많은 가을과 봄 사이에 매우 인상적이며, 종종 근처의 Piscina Irgas 및 Muru Mannu 폭포로 가는 하이킹과 함께 방문됩니다.

Also known as Lake Montimannu, the lake is located in the Villacidro area, in the heart of the Linas massif. It is an artificial lake created by damming the Leni River between 1976 and 1987, with a 55-meter-high earthen dam. Perfectly integrated into the landscape of Mediterranean scrub and holm oak forests, the lake is part of the Monte Linas – Marganai SCI and hosts various sporting events every year.

Montevecchio, also known as Gennas Serapis, is an ancient mining village now a hamlet of Guspini, nestled in the Geo-Mining Historical and Environmental Park of Sardinia. Founded in the 19th century as the administrative center of the lead and zinc mines, it was established here. The village is home to the Montevecchio Mine information point and the Gennas Food and Wine Confraternity, a trattoria offering excellent food in a friendly, family-friendly atmosphere. They are usually open on weekends, but we recommend contacting them to check opening times, make reservations, and arrange for service. The owner is very helpful and is happy to welcome hungry travelers.

Built in 1915 and nearly 300 meters deep, the Amsicora Shaft was part of the Telle mine, between Montevecchio and Ingurtosu. Active for nearly a century, it is now an important symbol of industrial archaeology and workers' memory. In the 1990s, it was the site of a historic month-long occupation by miners in defense of workers' rights. Permanently closed in 1991, the site is now abandoned but retains an austere charm, immersed in the greenery and silence of the Arburese mountains.

It would also be very nice for the gentle slope that makes it feasible uphill towards Montevecchio. It's a shame that as of today (2/10/25) it is rideable but not very clean....it could be an interesting connection to go to/from the Crocorigas road or the Mines.

Pro tip: You don't have to cycle through the deep spot where the cars drive through; there's a footpath to the side in the bushes where you can cross with your bike almost without getting your feet wet.

Once past the mine, a few bends further you reach Montevecchio. The town housed the apartments of the mine managers and the highest officials who ran the mine, as well as accommodation for workers, barracks, hospital and schools, a post office, a chemical laboratory, and even a football pitch for the local team. Today inhabited by a few hundred people, most of the time you will struggle to find even a handful of them. The sound of the wind will be your only travel companion.

Even in mid-June 2024, it's only a trickle. But it's still a pretty place.
