The summit cross is very similar to that of the Arundakopf, only less angular. Both crosses have incorporated a small butterfly, the meaning of which would be interesting to find out...

The ascent should not be underestimated. The last water point is practically the Almhütte at 1800 HM. The path leads through large, long scree fields. Markings are easy to see. Absolute surefootedness, a head for heights and high alpine experience are required!

The summit cross is a real highlight. It was renewed in 2011 and is made of iron. The view is gigantic!! The ascent to the cross is relatively easy, on top of the ridge as you approach the summit, a fantastically wide path opens up on the last few hundred meters on which you can approach the cross with pleasure

Located at the end of the Matscher Valley, very cozy hut with excellent cuisine. The nicest hut hosts, Karin and Edwin, put their heart and soul into it. Due to the altitude (2670 m) only open from mid-June to the end of September / beginning of October (depending on the weather).
