The Hoamet-Tramin Museum, with its additional focus on “Life on the Border”, aims to show that the people of Tramin have created a well-tended and cosmopolitan home for themselves, despite or precisely because they live on the border between three cultures, all of which have left their mark. History, landscape, economy and culture are the areas with a particular focus on archaeology, contemporary history, winemaking, carnival, household, crafts and geology. Also worth seeing are the large historical exhibition of Gewürztraminer wines from all over the world and the 240 million year old footprint of an archaeosaur. The museum is located on the town hall square and has 11 exhibition rooms on three floors.
