Arriving from Segno on the bridge that crosses the Vara river, an enchanting view opens up over the village of San Pietro Vara. In front, stands the Church of San Pietro, the oldest in the valley, which houses works of art from the sixteenth century. Next to it, the Oratory of Nostra Signora della Spianata. The view from the bridge also includes the surrounding valley floor, with its cultivated fields and the green hills that frame the village.

In the shape of a book.... To honor Dante Alighieri on the seven hundredth anniversary of the poet's death, the Municipality of Levanto has placed a commemorative bench in the shape of a book on the Pietra promenade. The seat features a classic profile of Alighieri and the part of Canto XXVI of the Inferno dedicated to Ulysses.

Along the walk from the Lungomare to the ferry dock you will find this beautiful and original Dante bench.

An obligatory stop for those who travel the Bracco, both by bike, but above all by motorbike. In front of the "Luigina" inn, in summer, winter, morning or evening there is always some (or a multitude) of two-wheel enthusiasts who stop to drink, eat and above all to have a chat.

The foundation of the town dates back to around the 14th century. In 1748 a conference was held there to discuss the armistice between the Austrians and the Franco-Spanish at the end of the War of the Austrian Succession. Between the 17th and 18th centuries, local religious brotherhoods guaranteed the influx of artistic works today preserved in the town's church and oratory.

The Mola Pass is an alternative to the parallel Bracco Pass with the advantage that the road is much less busy.
