The oldest part of the city retains its fortified appearance, still visible today and enclosed within the medieval walls, of which the entrance gates and towers still survive. At the highest point of the city stands the Rocca, built in the Middle Ages. Inside, the Boat Museum houses a display of some Lake Trasimeno vessels. It's a lovely place to visit, as is cycling along the lakeside.

From the Trecine Pass you can enjoy a spectacular view of Lake Trasimeno: stop and savor this unique panorama!

Magic nightride! Thnx for sharing this route. I started this ride anti clockwise 20.30hr in late June. Next to the great views over the lake at sunset it started to get dark when passing Liciano Niccone (So bring some good light with you) From there the last climb trough the forrest was pure magical. At both sides of the road the forest was full of fireflies. Quit some stunning experience!

A beautiful place to linger and have a small picnic. Please bring everything with you! A variety of birds sing here. A fantastic view of the lake... simply peaceful. A trained eye will also spot dozens of lizards in various patterns.
