Bettona is a characteristic Umbrian village. Built on a cliff, it offers a splendid panoramic view: on one side, the Martani Mountains, and on the other, the Umbrian Valley, stretching from Perugia to Spoleto.

Don't start from Torgiano, the path is closed and badly maintained.

San Martino in Campo is a fraction of Perugia. It stands near the Tiber and is famous for the Roman Campo di Marte and important architectural remains.

San Martino in Campo is a locality in the municipality of Perugia populated by over 2,400 inhabitants, entirely nestled in the alluvial plain and goes as far as the right bank of the Tiber river. The name probably derives from the fact that, in Roman times, a Campo di Marte, or a camp of soldiers, was organized there. Worth seeing are the remains of the vestiges of the Castle, Villa Donini and the parish church, in fifteenth-century style, which preserves an image of the Madonna and Child (Madonna della Scala) from the 15th century.

Bettona is a village of Etruscan origins. Part of the walls surrounding the city dates back to that period. The village was then conquered by the Romans and called Vettona. Completely destroyed in 1352 by the armies of Perugia, it was rebuilt in 1367 by order of Cardinal Egidio Albornoz. Bettona remained part of the Papal State until the unification of Italy. Today it is included in the list of the association "The most beautiful villages in Italy".
