When the weather is nice, the view is wonderful, but unfortunately it is spoiled by the ugly national park center. Unfortunately, the noise from motorcycles on the Black Forest High Road is often unbearable. It is better to visit in winter or when the weather is mixed.

Very nice view on both sides of the ridge of the Bosensteiner Alm.

Probably the most beautiful detour when hiking the Karlsruher Grat Gourmet Trail. 😍🤗 🎩 to the guides. A wonderful place to take a break. The food and drink options are very good. They also serve ice cream. There's a seating area in front of the hut and behind it.

The parking fees are a rip-off (6 euros for 3 hours). You can constantly hear the roar of the motorbikes. Not recommended for hiking.

A small, rustic hut with comfortable seating that houses two snack refrigerators. Unfortunately it is closed between November and April.

It's particularly beautiful here at sunset. When the weather is right, many people make a pilgrimage there to marvel at the setting sun. On the slope above the path there are many stones that can be used as a place to sit or have a picnic. It is like a grandstand for the natural spectacle.

Even in winter, when access to the Wildsee / Wilder See at Ruhestein is closed due to hibernation, it is worth taking a look down at the beautifully situated Wildsee - one of the remaining twelve karst lakes in the Black Forest. https://www.schwarzwald-informationen.de/wildsee-ruhestein.html
