Here the river water has washed large troughs into the rock, beautiful to see from the suspension bridge and from the edge of the gorge. On the way to the bathing area there are always beautiful views down to the Soča. With a bit of luck you can spot large trout in places with clear water.

The bridge leads over a particularly deep cut of the Soca in the rock and is also an option for a quick look without a long hike - just a few meters away on the north side is a parking lot on the road that runs parallel to the river. A little upstream is an entrance to the river, just a little downstream is a particularly beautiful spot including a small waterfall over which a small tributary falls down into the Soca.

Here too, the Soca digs beautifully deep through the limestone and offers one beautiful view after another. There are always little scrambles to do along the way - nothing crazy, but here and there some people prefer to slide down a bit on their bottoms. At a popular spot, where some people take a short break, a small tributary shoots down over a waterfall into the river on the other side of the Soca.

Fantastically beautiful this landscape here around the lake .... you can't capture in pictures how beautiful it is there, you have to see it with your own eyes........ one of the most beautiful places I've ever been have seen

The lake is beautiful. If you walk along the north side, there is no car traffic either. We went back by boat (costs 9 Eu pp). So also for an easy hike absolutely recommendable.

Great place for sunbathing, bathing, swimming 🏊 and jumping from the rock into the water. Enough trees for shade. Attention ⚠ a parking space costs one euro per hour and parking is only permitted until 11 p.m.

The lake and the landscape are breathtakingly beautiful. In early summer, when the morning fog gives way and the sun and mountains come out and everything is reflected in the lake. But it was nothing for me to swim in, a bit cold, as the lake is fed by a mountain stream. And if you are already there, you should definitely hike to the waterfall.
