In the Polarium you can experience unique insights into the world of polar bears. There are 3 polar bears - you can almost touch them through the windows.

The zoo in Rostock was founded in 1899. It covers an area of 56 hectares in the Banstorfer Forest. 6,500 animals and 500 different species can be admired. It is the largest zoo on the German Baltic coast.

I find great apes locked up like this borderline, I'm pretty conflicted about it. But they are definitely impressive.
