The bathing area offers shallow access to the water, but cyclists, people with strollers, disabled people, and motorized vehicles have enormous difficulty even getting close. The entire forecourt is made of deep sand. Driving through it is certainly not recommended. However, the village is accessible by car, and there is a permitted access road.

This route is easy to navigate. The Kannenburg lock, however, is a disappointment at the moment. Everything is closed, the bivouac and rest area are cordoned off.

Pretty lake and nice place for a little break.

Don't pack your bike too full otherwise it will be difficult to push it up but once you've done it, it's worth it
