Maah Daah Hey Trail is a 144-mile trail that runs through some of the most breathtaking scenery in North Dakota. The section after Medora is a particularly beautiful part that goes through the North Dakota Badlands with views onto Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

Great, quiet path out of Medora. It is 2 miles long. It is a wonderful path to get away from the cars on the road and still enjoy the views of the nearby national park.

The end of this section brings you to a beautiful viewpoint of canyons made of white rocks just north of Anderson Butte. These canyons are found all across Little Missouri National Grassland.

A great place to visit. Walking trails, campground, peace and quiet. The North Country trail is great, plenty of Shade

Black Butte Trail travels through the privately owned 500 acres of rolling hills and prairie land that is Black Butte Adventures. As a prairie, the area has almost no tree coverage. The trail is also open to mountain bikers and it's not uncommon for grazing cattle to venture onto the trail, so watch out for cow pies.
