🏃‍♂️ Jumping pit – a small challenge at the edge of the forest A fun element on the adventure trail: The jumping pit invites you to compare your own jumping distance with various animal tracks. Who jumps further – human or wild animal? A great idea for children, school classes, and anyone who enjoys playing. Tip: Ideal as an active break in between – and even adults are often surprised by how short a deer's jump really is.

🔭 Panoramic view from Königsberg – expansive views for your head and camera From Königsberg, an impressive panoramic view opens up over the Lautertal Valley, Wolfstein, the Remigiusberg, and, on a clear day, deep into the Palatinate Heights. The view is far-reaching – and at the same time has a calming effect. One of the most impressive vantage points in the entire region. Tip: Be sure to have your camera or smartphone ready – a unique lighting atmosphere often arises here in the mornings and evenings.

After the Offenbach cemetery, a narrow hiking trail (marked with a "W", approx. 500m) leads towards Wiesweiler. This is difficult to walk due to wild growth and fallen trees. The path is in very poor condition!!!

The Königsberg is 568 meters high. Its summit is forested, so you don't have a view from the top. It is still worth a visit, because there is a small summit cross, a hut and several picnic tables on the summit.

The pillory was, alongside the gallows, an instrument of execution in medieval jurisdiction. The penitent (or penitent woman) was chained to the corner of the house, standing on a stone pedestal. Gossips had to mock the poor sinners from the bay window room above. This jurisdiction goes back to the city rights granted to Offenbach in 1330 by Emperor Ludwig of Bavaria, but these were lost in the turmoil of the Thirty Years' War.
