🌉 Wooden bridge over the stream – surrounded by greenery This simple, natural wooden bridge leads over a small stream and blends harmoniously into the forest landscape. Rippling water and birdsong create a tranquil atmosphere – a peaceful, beautiful spot along the trail.

It stands there in the midst of the lush green forest – silent, mossy, and steeped in history: an old boundary stone that once separated two countries. Today, it marks no more than a stage of your hike, but the atmosphere here is palpably special. 💡 Tip: An ideal place for a short break. Simply pause, take a deep breath, and take a moment to reflect on history – this isn't just about hiking, but also about understanding.

The building that now serves as the town hall was built in 1891 as a primary school. District construction engineer Mergler and construction assistant Hass were responsible for the planning. The building on the market square was converted into the town hall in 1913. In 1984 the carillon was added to either side of the central window above the main entrance. The 18 bronze bells have a total weight of 276.5 kilograms. They are perfectly matched to each other. The chime is switched on automatically. Well-known melodies are played a total of four times a day, such as the song “Mein Kusel in der Pfalz” written by the city's most famous son, Fritz Wunderlich. Memorial stone to war victims in the middle of the forest by the stream - not to be discovered immediately

Residential building and dance hall of the former Kochschen brewery, before 1807. The last traces of the Koch brewery after the demolition of the brewery building between Ringstrasse and Hintergasse in June 1980. The Koch brewery lost its independence in 1976. Today there is an inn here.

The small town of Kusel has already impressed me, a small townscape with townhouses, entire streets are under monument protection.

The market square with the town hall and its glockenspiel, the basket maker fountain and, in the immediate vicinity, the Protestant town church are beautiful to look at.
